About Helen

Right, I'm a 21 year old student in England, who relaxes by reading, writing and stitching. Although I am passionate about my stitching, my real love comes from the world of books and writing.

Theres something about diving into a new world or a new character and escaping from this world for a good few hours. Recently I have been in a reading slump because of University, in my final year of my undergraduate psychology degree means a tonne of work.

Some of the psychology will creep into this blog from time to time, as I want to work with delinquent children when I'm qualified, and specifically getting them back into education and reading plays a huge role in this.

But most of all I want to share my experiences with the books I love (and not so much) with other like minded people.

Here are five quirky facts about me:

  1. I'm studying psychology but I cant read your mind.
  2. I have written 13 novels... none to a standard I would be proud or even happy to show a publishers.
  3. I play for a really bad hockey team... but we try and have a tonne of fun.
  4. I am a nerd; I watch Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit and Twilight completely once a week and can recite the first two chapters of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone word for word.
  5. My dream job involves working with delinquent children and getting them back into education and jobs.
